Butterfly Journey – Connect with Nature’s Rhythms

IMMERSED is a handcrafted immersive dome experience built specifically for Catalina Island. It’s not a traditional movie theater—it’s a 360° environment designed to help people feel connected through immersive journeys.
Not in the traditional sense. Each journey is an immersive experience created by our own team or specially curated to surround you with nature, music, or story. Filmed or animated in 360 degrees, the visuals are then projected up and all around you onto our tilted dome screen, enveloping you in the story.
Shows run from 30 min (Ocean Wonders/Butterfly Journey/The Stellars) to 45 min (Resolution). This makes IMMERSED a great add-on to any Catalina Island itinerary.
Yes. Showtimes vary by day, check the BOOK TICKETS button for daily showtimes. Due to demand, Ocean Wonders typically has the most availability.
Ocean Wonders is our signature experience and definite first-time visitor recommendation. If music is more your thing, Resolution is an incredible option. If you’re here with young kids, The Stellars is wonderful. If you’ve seen Ocean Wonders and loved the natural history angle, Butterfly Journey will amaze you. Of course, we have steeply discounted Buy 1 Get 1 offers, just ask our friendly staff how to save on multiple journeys!
We recommend it! Shows often sell out, especially on weekends.
We are fully air-conditioned and ADA compliant for those with accessibility concerns. Regular seating includes super plush NBA courtside seats. Or you can choose one of the fan-favorite beanbag chairs in the front (on a first-come-first-served basis). Some people have concerns about claustrophobia or motion sickness – if you check our reviews you’ll see that most visitors do not experience these. The dome is calm, slow‑moving, and designed to be comfortable.
Absolutely. Ocean Wonders and Butterfly Journey are family friendly, and The Stellars is designed specifically for ages 3–10. Resolution is great for older kids and adults (PG advised).
