Experience the oceans like never before! Our debut short film “Ocean Wonders” was filmed in nine countries, across three oceans and one sea, and featuring more than forty incredible species. It is a truly unique immersive movie that takes you on a virtual “dive” through our precious oceans. Explore Catalina’s lush kelp forest and its inhabitants, including the giant sea bass. Get up close and personal with majestic humpback whales and whale sharks. Watch manta rays soaring overhead like underwater birds. Observe huge bull sharks circling around. Be mesmerized by dazzling schools of fish filling the screen. Laugh at playful sea-lions dancing all around you. Visit deep underwater caves, and so much more!
Everything you will see was filmed underwater in full 360 degrees, by our team or our collaborators. This allowed us to capture the moment from every angle. The footage is projected onto the inside of a custom dome screen that surrounds you, immersing you in the moment.
IMMERSED is a custom-built dome theater (kind of like a planetarium) on Catalina Island. It has a unique 20° tilt to the screen, giving you a sense of forward motion, while allowing for the content to wrap all around you. It is a truly unique way to consume short films.
In our debut movie, Ocean Wonders, you will have close encounters with a huge variety of species including whale sharks, humpback whales, manta rays, sting rays, sealions, seals, bull sharks, grey nurse sharks, giant sea bass, and so many different types of colorful fish. There are kelp forest, caves, and unique formations as well.
Each show runs for 30 minutes. This makes IMMERSED a great add-on to any Catalina Island itinerary.

Every scene was filmed in full 360 degrees beneath the surface. So wherever you look, there’s life in motion: kelp swaying above, a sea lion zipping past, schools of fish shimmering all around. The opening scene has you looking at the iconic Casino building from the surface, before descending into the magical kelp forests below. All of this results in Catalina Island’s immersive movie experience that locals, travelers, and cruise guests love.
Our goal is not to bombard you with facts about what you are seeing. We prefer to let you enjoy these incredible encounters in your own way. Your gentle narrator guides you through the movie, giving you just enough information.
We spent a lot of time curating the music and sound design, creating a soundscape that replicates the sense of being underwater.
